This policy explains what information RankEveryCity ("we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain because that's how we'd want it explained to us.
Who we are
RankEveryCity provides programmatic local SEO and AEO services for multi-location service businesses. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email brano@rankeverycity.com.
What we collect
When you use our free visibility check, you give us your website URL and email address. Our system also records the IP address the request came from (used only to prevent abuse and limit how many free checks one source can run).
To produce your report, we read publicly available pages on the website you submit (its sitemap and homepage) and calculate things like how many pages and city/location pages it has. We do not log into anything or access anything that isn't already public.
If you become a client, we also collect the information needed to deliver the service — for example your list of services and cities, business details you provide, and the access required to publish pages to your website.
Why we use it
We use your information to send you the audit report you requested, to follow up with you about our services, to provide and improve the service if you become a client, and to keep the free tool from being abused. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
The tools we rely on
We run on a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Vercel — hosts this website.
- Supabase — stores audit requests and contact details in our database.
- Resend — delivers your report and our emails.
- Anthropic — its AI model reads the public text of the site you submit to summarise it for your report.
- Google Search Console — used for performance reporting on client websites.
Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. We only share what each provider needs to do its job.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics that profile you. Our hosting provider may set basic cookies needed to serve the site securely.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact details and audit results for as long as needed to respond to you and provide our services. You can ask us to delete your data at any time and we will, unless we're required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live (for example the UK, EU, or California), you may have additional legal rights. To exercise any of these, just email brano@rankeverycity.com and we'll handle it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and limited access. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we take it seriously.
Children
This service is for businesses and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear.
